DC Comics brings us Batman The Dark Knight #8, Aquaman #8, and The Flash #8.

Marvel introduces their AvX Vs. #1 comic, which will take a closer look at battles between individual Avengers and X-Men members. Also shipping is New Avengers #25 and Uncanny X-Men #11 – both AvX tie-in books.

For smaller press we have issue #2 of both New Deadwardians and Supercrooks, the Chew Volume 5 trade paperback, and Mass Effect Homeworlds #1.

Plus, a ton of awesome new T-shirts!

DC Comics brings us Batman #8 – a prelude to the Night of the Owls crossover event, as well as Justice League #8.

Marvel is putting out their highly anticipated Issue #2 of Avengers vs. X-Men. Issues #0 and #1 have been flying off shelves! We also see the release of Wolverine and the X-Men #9, which is an AVX tie in book this month.

In terms of smaller press we have issue 2 of the superb Jonathan Hickman book “Manhattan Projects”, TMNT “Leonardo” microseries, and issue #96 of The Walking Dead!

We’ve got some heavy hitters coming in from DC Comics this week in the form of Justice League #7 – which begins a new story arc, and the fantastic Scott Snyder/Greg Capullo book Batman #7!

Marvel is no slouch either – a brand new event called “Ends of the Earth” is beginning in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man #682 this week. We also get to see the conclusion to Avengers X-Sanction hit shelves.

In terms of smaller press we have Mark Millar’s next comic “Supercrooks” which is illustrated by Lenil Yu (Kick Ass 2 #7 is also released this week), and new from Vertigo is Dominique Laveau Voodoo Child #1, not to be confused with the new52′s Voodoo.

Galactic Guardian Heroclix also make their debut this week!

DC Comics presents their new logo this week on their line of comics. They haven’t met with much adoration from fans. But – they are releasing some amazing comics this week in the form of Detective Comics #7, Animal Man #7, Action Comics #7, and Swamp Thing #7! We also see the conclusion to the Huntress mini-series this week.

Marvel presents us with issue #1 of Age of Apocalypse – written by David Lapham with a Humberto Ramos Cover. We also have Ultimate Spider-Man #8, Uncanny X-Men #8, and everyone’s favourite – Tokidoki X Marvel keychains!!

Vertigo also goes a mini-relaunch of their own this month. You may want to check out The Fairest #1 – the latest offshoot from Fables. Bill Willingham writes and Phil Jimenez provides art with a beautiful Adam Hughes cover.

DC Comics has a couple of big titles shipping this week. First of all, Batman Beyond Unlimited launches with a brand new #1 issue, and will feature the print debut of Justice League Beyond!

Speaking of the Justice League – Geoff Johns and Jim Lee wrap up their first story arc in Justice League #6. The whole team is together in this issue fighting against Darkseid!

Marvel’s got Amazing Spider-Man #680, which has the creative team of Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos placing Spidey in space! For the Magic fans out there, we have Magic: The Gathering #2 which comes with a free “Faithless Looting” card which is legal for tournament play!

Here’s what’s arriving at Stadium Comics on Wednesday, August 9th 2011. The big title shipping this week is Fear Itself #5. This issue promises a fight between Thor, Hulk, and The Thing. Also from Marvel is the conclusion of The Iron Age, Alpha Flight #3, and Amazing Spider-Man #667! DC Comics’ big book this week is War of the Green Lanterns Aftermath #2 – this will lead directly into Green Lantern #1 launching in September. Detective Comics #881 is also released tomorrow, and DC’s Retroactive books continue as they take a look at Green Lantern, The Justice League, and Superman in the 1980′s.

We’ve also got the continuation of Jonathan Hickman’s Red Wing, and some Street Fighter Heroclix!

Amazing Spider-Man #666 – six page preview

We’re very excited for the release of Amazing Spider-Man #666 this Wednesday, which will feature an exclusive Stadium Comics variant! Marvel recently released a six page preview of this pivotal issue, which is the beginning of the Spider Island event. We’ve decided to share all 6 pages here with you!

The Stadium Comics variant cover will be extremely limited – only 500 exist. If you’re an in-store subscriber, you can add the variant to your subscription here. If you’re close to our store, you can come in and pick up a copy starting Wednesday. If you’re anywhere else in the world, you can order the book online here!
