Promo for Ultimate Spider-Man #1
A month before that “other relaunch” gets underway, Marvel will be relaunching its Ultimate Comics universe with new creative teams, and someone new playing the role of Spider-Man.
Yesterday Stadium Comics participated in a retailer conference call with Marvel Editor-in-chief Axel Alonso and writers Brian Michael Bendis (Ultimate Spider-Man), Jonathan Hickman (Ultimates, Ultimate Hawkeye), and Nick Spencer (Ultimate X-Men).
Ultimate Fallout #4 was revealed to be a pivotal issue leading up to this relaunch as it will contain the first appearance of the new Spider-Man. Marvel has said this will receive mainstream press attention. at a level somewhere in between the death of Johnny Storm, and the death of Captain America. Issue 4 will ship with a clear polybag. They’ve also stated that Ultimate Fallout #1 will be a direct continuation of the Death of Ultimate Spider-Man.
