We conducted a fun little experiment on our web show “Unboxing Wednesdays” two weeks ago.
As part of our weekly contest, we asked our YouTube fans to leave us a comment letting us know why their hometown would be the perfect place for Stadium Comics’ next comic shop location.
We received some amazing responses from our fans! People chimed in from all over the globe – and one thing is clear: the world needs MORE STADIUM COMICS!
We’ve created a Google Map that shows the “Proposed Future Locations” of Stadium Comics. It’s an interesting map to say the least – locations were proposed on 4 different continents – places such as Singapore, Australia, Poland, the UK, and North America!
We were surprised by the amount of users who said they were in areas vastly under-serviced by comic shops. Living in the Greater Toronto Area, which has to have one of the largest amount of comic shops per capita in the world, we don’t always realize how frustrating it must be to not have a local comic shop close by.
So where will our next shop be? Well – the suggestions we received from warmer climates such as Southern California, Miami, Florida, and Australia were certainly tempting… but that would mean we’d have to go to the beach, and take off our shirts.

The winner of the contest was HirumasDream, who provided us with a video response pitching her hometown of Westerly, Rhode Island. It’s more likely we’d open something up a little closer to home first – but you’ll have to stay tuned for that news!
